Stand-Up Workshops
This workshop is great for anyone who wants to learn the art of stand up comedy or for comics who are interested in perfecting their already existing routines and taking their careers to the next level.
In the In-person Stand-up Workshop, Lisa shares the secrets of joke writing and performance technique! There are seven classes, one per week, in-person at the Comedy Store in La Jolla. Classes are taught by Lisa. Lisa is a veteran comic & writer who has taught over 5,000 students over the past 20 years.
This seven-week workshop is $575. There will be a showcase at the end of class to qualified students.
NEXT IN-PERSON CLASS WILL BEGIN:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD 2026
Classes will be every Saturday for 7 weeks in-person at the La Jolla Comedy Store.
Each week you are given writing exercises and we'll collaborate to come up with your best and funniest five minute set! Graduation showcase will be December 8th at 8pm at the La Jolla Comedy Store. Every student is NOT guaranteed a showcase spot. Spots are based on class attendance and promotion of show. Lisa will go over these details during class. The goal is to have everyone perform in front of a LIVE audience!
